Poured

Our patio was poured on Thursday, it took two truck loads of concrete and it looks really nice, we had them stamp it so that is looks like a huge slab of rock.

I'm not going to post any pic because I want it to be an incentive to come over to our house sometime.

Just kidding.

Here they are:)Joseph watching them pour concrete,

part of the new patio and walkway to the pool,

Dad taking off the overhang on the back door with Jacob's help.

As I said before we really like our patio, you can't see it in the pics very much but it is full of cracks.

Just kidding, no wait, Just kidding that I'm just kidding. O.o

Oh and for those of you that wanted to see our completed garden area (well half that is) here is a pic of it, the other side didn't have bark in it at the time that's why I only took a picture of half.

You may be wondering how this and other shots where taken from so high up, well here is the secret I was on the roof at the time. :)

We had to get on the roof because we have a wire that is for our internet and it was too low for the cement trucks to get under easily, so we got up there and held it up a little higher so that they could get under.

In other news, we sold our two baby kids today, it was kinda strange the way we did it, here is how it happened: we were expecting a guy from the concrete company to come over and cut some control joints in the main part of the patio, well the guy came over and had two children with him and his wife and Mom went outside to tell the guy what Dad wanted in regards to the control joints and saw the lady and started talking with her, after a little while she mentioned (after seeing our goats) that they where on there way to buy some goats that very day.

Mom said that we would sell ours and they wanted them so they bought them and took the two kids away to their house. so that's how we sold the kids. ;)

And last but not least Jakaela has had a high fever for a couple of days, :(
but she is getting better. :)

Well, that's all for now.

  1. Great job Jonathan!!!! We have been waiting and waiting to see what it looked like and it looks tremendously great!! Do you have any shots of the patio part? What does it mean to "stamp" it? God is good with your "kids", just at the right time when you probably could use a little extra cash!!! He is always there for us! Love you and thanks for the pics! I like Jacob on the roof (and you too!). That's where I was today painting -- a little scary for me though!

  2. Looks nice, now you can walk to the pool without gettin' stuck by goat heads. ;D

Speaking of pool, have you started getting it set up yet? I bet it's getting pretty hot over in Idaho!

  3. Nice narrative Jonathan... The walk to the pool looks great. I really like reading your posts and learning more and more about what you and your family are doing. I hope that Jakela is feeling better.

That was a praise the Lord that you sold your "kids"... God is good, all the time. I am looking forward to hearing from you again soon...

    Love, Uncle Joey
