Guess What

Guess what I did yesterday.

Ok ok I'll just tell you.

I was backing up my dads car and... no I didn't hit anything but I came close, in fact a couple inches closer and dads car would be in the repair shop right now. Anyway I just missed two concrete posts that were protecting a fire hydrant from reckless drivers like me.

So after we were done at church I went to get some new shoes.

I really should stop there... Oh well

First I noticed that the tank was on empty, I had to get gas, so I pulled into the gas station and up to a pump, I got out to go inside and pay cause I only had cash; when I noticed that the little door to the tank was on the other side, so I got back in and drove to a different pump. When I finally got inside I bought about ten dollars of gas. Then I went back outside and pushed the wrong button on the pump so I had to back in and tell the lady what I did so she could reset it or whatever she needed to do. When I finally got the gas going I look at the pump and there was a sign that read something like "This area is being recorded by security cameras," I imedently thought, "Uh oh, some security guy is gonna get some laughs".

When I finally got to the store I must have tried on half their shoes before I found a pair I liked for about $39.99 which was about as much as I was gonna spend, I went to the counter and the shoes rang up at $41.75 or so. That is when I discovered I was $1.75 short, (I didn't have a creditcard or anything like that)  so I ran out to the car and searched for spare change, of which I found $1.05 or so.
In the end I had to put the shoes on hold and go back home, I was able to go back there later on but I changed my mind on the shoes and so bought a different pair for a bit less.

Did I mention I really don't like to shop...

When I finally got home I had to take the garbage up, and on the way I tripped and fell and spilt the garbage all over the place...

Okay I made that last one up.

Now guess what! Lets move on to less depressing subjects.

We had the JV basketball tournament on Saturday, at which we placed second after a tough game. Jacob did really good, he nailed a three pointer in the last 2 seconds of on of the toughest games, but the reff thought he was on the line and so they counted it as a two, which tied us with the other team and we went into over-time, we finally won out and advanced to the finals. It was a fun, slightly long, day!

Next up is the Varsity tournament, we are currently ranked first in the league, and have had some really close games lately, so that should be exciting.

Here is a little driving tip: Never go against the flow on a one-way street.

I was making some cookies today, just the prepackaged cookie dough kind, and my mom heard the wrapper crinkling from way down the hall and she said, "Jonathan! get out of the lunch meat!" I told her I was just making some cookies and so she let me carry on.
After I had gotten the cookies into the oven I mistakenly told mom that I made twenty cookies for us, it was a mistake because she new the package makes 24 cookies, needless to say I probably shouldn't have gotten as much as everyone else, but I lost count. ;)

Guess what, I am getting shleepy now so goodnight!

MmmChocolatechipcookies...
