Campin out!

As most of you know we were up in McCall for the weekend, we had a great time up there playing in the water, riding bikes, throwing footballs, Frisbees, hacky-sacks, and Mr. Nelson around the campsites.

We got up there Thursday afternoon after a nice drive through the serene countryside with my ipod blaring out of the speakers in order to drown out Josephs screams.*

*Just kidding

Two other families came on Thursday, the Rodins and the Necelas, pretty much everyone else came on Friday. Thursday night we sat around the campfire drinking hot chocolate, telling stories, and playing games.

Mr. Nelson told us that he was going to "get" us Friday or Saturday night, he did, in a way.
Jacob and I had planned to steal his truck Friday night and had scoped out every little detail, we were going to put the truck in neutral and I was going to push it into another campsite while Jacob did the steering, I tried pushing the truck and found I could push it, I also tried putting it in neutral but found that you have to have the keys. Fortunately they were sitting in the cup holder by the seat so I snatched them, earlier I heard that Mr Nelson had to go into town that afternoon so I put them back so that he wouldn't suspect anything and then I told Jacob that we could pull it off as long as he could steer.

That night Mr Nelson tried to scare us by getting under one of our cots while we went to steal his truck, fortunately for us, Jacob heard him as we were heading out and we decided to change plans.
We decided to lure him out by letting him hear false information that we told Mom in a voice loud enough for him to hear, we then hunkered down 20 yards from our campsite on the side of the road and watched as he came out of the tent and started to follow us.
It was a pitch black night and we could only see him because there were some lights behind him coming from our trailer.
When he got within three feet of me I jump out and clamped my hand over his mouth, but not before he could scream a short girly scream, I put had him in a head lock when he surrendered to us and confessed that we got him good.

He tried again the next night but we turned the tables and got him a couple time with our airsoft guns.

Friday Jacob and I rode our bikes up the the top of the peninsula and took a bunch of pictures, we haven't downloaded them off Jacobs camera yet.

In other news we have been doing a lot of football practice and our team is shaping up, our first game will be on the 31st of this month and then games every week for like the next one and half months.

Well its getting late so I'm signing off...

Jonathan

  1. Wow, Jonathan! You and Jacob really came up with some interesting pranks against Mr. Nelson! Sounds like you had a great time camping -- can't wait to see the pictures. See you soon!

  2. Hey, can you tell us more about your rolling the tractor? We want to know more. :)

  3. Well I was trying to mow this road, which is on the lower part of our property, it had a cannal on one side and a short but steep slope on the other side.
I drove close to the side with the small slope in order to cut the weeds that were growing on the side, that part of the road was very sandy, so when I when tried to go back to the middle of the road my back tires just started spinning in the sand.
I tried backing up but that didn't work, so I thought I could turn and go down the short slope. The only problem was I couldn't turn sharp enough to go strait down, so I went at an angle (bad idea) very slowly.
I was almost down to the bottom when the tracker started tipping so I jumped off but it just kinda balanced there on three wheels.
So I then did another stupid thing, which was to try to keep turning with me just standing on the step and pressing the pedal. The tractor then slowly rolled over as I hopped off. :\

So there you have it, I should of put it in a post instead of commenting it.

Oh well, have a good night ya'll!
