Not here, but near.
Let me tell what is here though...
The ancient Christmas CDs from some other era,
The snow, currently about six inches,
Presents are starting to appear,
Some people will only go outside if you know who is inside.
Snowmen materialize from nowhere.
Those are just a few of the things that are here, and more are coming.
Onward...
We were in Portland (the land of eternal spring) for all of last week.
The trip was very slow and took us about ten hours, at least we had our i-pods, books, and some special medicine we drugged Joseph with, needless to say, it was a unusually quiet trip. jk
Joy! Joy! Joy!
Whoops, the Christmas music is already affecting me... gulp...
Thank goodness for basketball!
Where was I? Ah yes,
When we finally reached our Grandparents house it was about 9:00 our time. The next day we opened some presents and played a lot of boardgames and did a little shopping. (which I barely survived)
Some of our cousins came over for dinner Tuesday, we had a fun time with them playing differnt boardgames and watching some Tim Hawkins videos.
Wednesday, Joy went to the hospital for a check up, then we all went and visited our Great Grandma and went out for pizza.
On Thursday Mom and Dad took Joy in for surgery and the rest of us changed to Grandma and Grandpa Millers house.
Joys surgery on her back went well, she stayed the night in the hospital to recover and then was able to come out the afternoon of the next day.
Saturday, we did some packing in the morning, then our other cousins came over and we watched football, played board games, ate cake and pizza, and opened some presents.
All in all, we had a lot of fun over there!
Now I should probably go help with the decorating...
Jonathan, master snowball maker...
Oh Jonathan, that is the best blog yet and so funny!!!! You are a great poet -- keep it up and you could publish something one of these days! Poor Joseph-medicine to keep him sleepy -- he'll get you back someday. Sure miss you all -- wish you were here to celebrate the rainy season with us as we scrape the mold off the railing -- so colorful, at least its green! Remember to use disinfectant before pushing those shopping carts!
ReplyDeleteGreat new heading for your blog Jonathan. Looks very inviting.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are having fun changing the way your blog looks. : ) I have fun doing that too it is so easy now. Before you had to know html and css to customize your blog.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas. : )
@ Ben,
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have tried a lot of the different styles, it is really easy to use and there are some cool backgrounds you can pick (I like the Basketball one).
Ya'll have a great Christmas too!
