Time change.

Times Change.

People grow and mature.

Take me for instance...
At this time last year I was just finishing up flag football and getting ready to start practicing basketball. Now a year later, I have graduated from high school, I am taking a fire-1 course at the Parma FD and have already gone through an Anatomy and Physiology course, heading towards becoming a paramedic.

Or we could do Jennifer.
At this time last year she was only a newborn, or neonate. ;) Now she is walking around the house and I actually heard her say "MaMa" yesterday so I guess she is starting to use words instead of grunts. =)

While I'm on this subject of change I should point out that this is one of my favorite times of year. There is all the colorful leaves on the ground and still on the trees, (one of my favorite subjects for drawings) we have days that are perfect in color and temperature, sports are going on, and, well, I'll stop there I guess.

So yeah, a lot of things change with the time.

But there are also other things that don't change, or at least change at a much slower rate.

I'm still the same guy who would start a water fight without a warning, or maybe play a board game or eat some cookies.

I have been getting busier, which means I don't do some of my favorite pastimes, like reading or walking in the woods, quite as much as I used too, but I still like to do those things.

I think the best example of unchanging though is God, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Over and out till later,

Have a great week everyone!

Jonathan

  1. Very Good Post, Jonathan.... So true... I think this year has been the most filled with change for our family in a long time (or even ever)...

Aren't you so glad God NEVER changes?!

  2. Very thought provoking Jonathan -- thank you for causing me to stop and think of the changes in our life too -- and some things I wish could change but haven't. We always look to our unchanging God too and He gives us hope for the things seen and unseen. If it weren't for His unfailing love, where would we be? I shudder to think of it. Love you!
